Reefer fleet dispatch for carriers running 2 to 10 trucks

Reefer fleet dispatch is a different job from dispatching one truck. Every tractor needs its own lane plan, and two of your trucks shouldn't be chasing the same load. We run your fleet from one board at 5% of gross per truck, every truck, with a report for each.

The fleet board

Three trucks, three lanes, no overlap

The problem small reefer carriers run into: as the fleet grows, trucks start bidding against each other for the same freight, reloads get worse, and nobody can say which truck earns its keep. Here's how one sample week looks on our board. Tap a truck for its report.

Fleet workflow

How we run a multi-truck reefer carrier

  1. 1

    One desk, one board

Every truck sits on the same planning board, so we never pitch two of your trucks to the same broker for the same lane.

  2. 2

    Lanes split on purpose

Trucks get lanes that suit the driver, the equipment and home time, and we stagger reloads so they don't chase the same freight.

  3. 3

    Temp issues coordinated

If a unit alarms or a receiver questions a reading, we notify the broker, document times and temps, and keep you in the loop.

  4. 4

    Driver contact your way

We can talk to drivers directly for load details and check calls, or route everything through you. Your choice, per truck.

Fleet rate

5% per truck, applied to the whole fleet

One truck pays 6%. From 2 trucks up, every truck pays 5%, including the first one. It's a limited-time fleet rate, written into your agreement. No setup fee, no minimums, month-to-month with 30 days notice. Run your own fleet's numbers in the fee calculator, or read the full reefer dispatch pricing.

Reporting

A report per truck, every week

Each truck gets its own line items: loads, loaded and empty miles, gross, rate per loaded mile and our fee. Side by side, it shows which driver, lane or reefer unit is dragging the fleet down, which is hard to see from settlement sheets alone.

Running mixed freight? Produce, frozen and dairy each come with their own rules, covered in our guide to refrigerated freight. Adding a new tractor or trailer? Our explainer on what a reefer truck is and how the unit works is a good primer for new drivers. The steps to start are on how it works, and the reefer dispatch home page covers the service as a whole.

Fleet dispatch questions

Does every truck get the fleet rate?

Yes. Once 2 or more trucks run with us, every truck in the fleet is billed at 5%, including the first. It's a limited-time rate, and the rate written in your agreement is the one that applies.

Do you dispatch fleets with company drivers?

Yes. We dispatch for the carrier, under your MC, whether the seat is filled by you, a company driver or an owner-operator leased to your authority. Every truck has to be a tractor pulling a 48 or 53 ft reefer.

What happens when one truck is in the shop?

We stop booking that truck and tell the brokers on any affected loads early. There's no fee for a truck that isn't hauling, and the rest of the fleet keeps its rate.

Can you work with our temperature monitoring and telematics?

If you share access or alerts, we use them to answer brokers faster and to catch problems early. We don't install or sell monitoring equipment; we work with what your trucks already run.
